Cookie & Local Storage Policy

This policy explains how Boardify uses cookies and local browser storage (such as HTML5 LocalStorage and IndexedDB) to provide offline whiteboard capability, remember your creative settings, and securely process payments.

1. Strictly Necessary Storage

REQUIRED FOR APP FUNCTION

These items are essential for security, login authentication, and preventing session hijacking. The application cannot function without them.

• Firebase Auth Tokens: Preserves user authentication across page refreshes.

• boardify_user_profile: Client-side profile metadata for immediate canvas paint.

• Razorpay Session Tokens: Secure token exchange during checkout.

2. Functional Preferences Storage

USER CUSTOMIZATION

These keys remember your canvas workspace preferences so you don't have to reconfigure them each time:

• boardify_preferred_currency: Saves user's choice between INR (₹) and USD ($).

• boardify_boards_index: Offline list of user's recent whiteboards.

• boardify_cookie_consent: Remembers your GDPR/DPDP consent preference.

How Can You Manage or Clear Local Storage?

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data.
  • Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All.
